For the next era of your life…

Donate embryos. Receive embryos.

Era Embryos. Creating families.

Let’s Get Started

  • These two terms are often used interchangeably. Technically, receiving donated embryos is not “adoption”, as adoption refers to the legal guardianship of an existing child.

Embryo donation is when unused embryos are given a chance at life by being donated to people who are struggling to conceive.

Embryo donation requires the use of an advanced IVF lab to facilitate the frozen embryo transfer. Additionally, the embryos will legally belong to the intended parents once paperwork is completed by our dedicated Era team.

Currently, there are more than one million embryos frozen in storage in the United States and this number is exponentially rising.

As IVF has technologically advanced, we see more patients getting pregnant than ever. This success rate leads to many more embryos being created than families end up needing.

Each embryo holds a potential opportunity to become a child and change the trajectory of someone’s life completely. The downside is, IVF is expensive. Most of the financial burden on patients is the formation of embryos, thus embryo donation is a way to assist more people in experiencing parenthood in a way that is more accessible and financially feasible.

Choosing to donate your embryos is an incredible gift to help all of those out there struggling with the burden of infertility.

Era embryo donation exists to fill a void in our fertility community.

At the moment, embryo donation is unregulated and with limited choice.

Some examples of this could include:

  • Embryo donation agencies accepting donated embryos of poor quality (not genetically tested, very poor morphology, noncompete survival after thaw)

  • upholding discriminatory requirements of intended parents

  • intrusive home studies.

All of this could potentially limit success in the process of creating families at many centers.

At Era, we strive to help families who are seeking a safe option to donate their embryos, as well as and also those who are looking to grow their families via embryo adoption.

At Era, one thing we do differently is make sure that only high quality embryos are permitted into the donation program.

Unlike many embryo donation programs, at Era you would have peace of mind knowing you have the highest likelihood of achieving pregnancy. In addition to having the Era team review and approve all embryos for donation, you will be partnering with the Fora Fertility team of physicians and experienced staff to complete your family planning journey. Not only would we love to make your embryo adoption process quick and easy, but we would also be delighted to welcome you into the Fora Fertility family!

Embryo donation is often not the first option for many people as it is a big decision, but at Era we make sure that both donating and receiving families feel confident that this was the right choice for them.
